This class is designed to teach
your students everything they need to know about 10th grade World History.
I will be including many interactive features to this class, such as websites, video, class projects, fieldtrips, etc. I look forward to meeting both you and your children, and having a wonderful year
with them!
If your child has any special
needs or accommodations, please contact me at mrsstewart@mail.com. Feel free
to contact me at any time with any questions you may have as well. I will do
everything I can to make this year enjoyable, and I will be fair with all my students.
In this course we will cover
World History, starting with the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia all the way to modern times! I will try and focus on a more worldwide perspective than the text book offers, so there will be supplemental
materials such as worksheets and packets going home with your student. This semester
will include Mesopotamia, Ancient China, India, and Egypt. From there we will
move ahead in time to Ancient Greece and Rome and ahead in time as the year goes by.
Events and Announcements Updated 9/20/08
This week your child will be
issued a text book from the school, and it will be your child’s responsibility to cover the book and protect it. Fines will be issued for mistreated books.
I
also ask that your child bring a 1” binder to class, blank college ruled notebook paper, dividers for their notebook,
and pens/pencils.
It
would also be useful (but not required) for your child to have a Flash Drive for their use, they will be required to
do work with computers, and it will make saving and transporting documents easier for them.
If
you are unable to provide any of these materials, please contact me, and I will do my best to accomodate your needs.
